A series of 6 silver gelatin prints. Both unique prints (photograms) and editioned prints from medium format b&w negatives. The work was exhibited first in the Bronx Museum, NY.
The studio photograph captures a durational performance in which I clench and relax a piece of paper in my fist. The paper has the word “misunderstanding” written on it over and over. The act of tension and release echoes the struggle of letting go. The playful nature of the work points to its absurdity. In the work, I can simply drop the problems out of my hand, where in reality it does not quite work that way.
